I love the look of a board and batten wall. When I turned 40 my hubby asked what I wanted for my birthday. “For you to teach me how to make a board and batten wall!” Super random I know, but it made me feel like a grown up to use a nail gun – so that’s exactly what we did. This was my first big project with an air compressor and a nail gun – both intimidated me. But it was so much fun! Here it is:
With his help it turned out awesome and I couldn’t believe how easy it was. It added so much depth to this tiny hall and brightened the room. I loved it!
Now, 1 1/2 years later I am finally writing a tutorial on how you can do it too. First off, watch my 60 second DIY Tutorial on it, and then follow along – I know you will love it!

I love using my wood chargers on my table settings, especially during the fall holidays. They are so versatile, easy to use and easy to make. I first learned about wood chargers from The Shanty Sisters – these gals are my mentors in so many ways (and they don’t even know it!). Here is a link to their blog post on where I learned how to make them:
At the time I made these, a Kreg was way out of my wheel house (I was too nervous to use it!). So I glued my strips together with wood glue and clamped until dry. If you want to use a Kreg Jig, see my post below for instructions – I love mine now once I tried it! Additionally, I have a link for more chargers and used stencils to decoration them below.
I was needing some space in my office to hang these darling plants from TJ Max. But I didn’t want to spend any money on them. So I rummaged through my box of “extra stuff” to see what caught my eye. That is how the Simple Plant Wall Hook came to be! If you do not need this now, pin it for later on Pinterest and follow along with all my pins here.
I love keeping a table set, it makes me feel that much closer to a prepared dinner (even if nothing is started!). For years I thought it would cost a fortune to keep a table set, so I shied away from it. A few years ago I realized I had been wrong this whole time. I want to show you how easy to can be!
Last year I was crushing over all the Farmhouse Prints – so I started wondering how I could make my own with the resources I had (long vinyl cutter, no large printers). After a bit of thinking I created a way that worked in my budget and was super easy to do.Here is my DIY Video Tutorial for you to watch to get the basic idea:
Who loves barn doors but doesn’t want to hire someone to build it for you? You are in the right place, because that is how I felt. So I set out to find an easy build that I could do on my own – and here is how I did it. Best part is it cost me under $75 for this 6 foot by 3 foot door!
