Raised in California and transplanted to Utah. Married my college sweetheart from Montana, and we are raising 4 nuggets together. I love all things DIY projects and doing them on a budget. I don’t mind messing up and am ok with the 90/10 rule - nothing is perfect over here and it’s fine by me! Encouraging all ‘wanna-be’ DIYers to just get out there and try it! You will be so glad you did.”
Isn’t fall one of the funnest seasons to decorate? Welcome to our Fall Home Tour, featuring my home and 6 other talented bloggers who I adore. If you are coming from Jenna Kate at Home – WELCOME! Make sure to head over to She Gave It A Go after your visit here to continue on our Fall Home Tour.
Porch’s can be a tricky area to decorate. They are subject to the weather elements and are often being occupied by our families. My porch has to remain usable with a sprinkle of decor, instead of lots of decor and a sprinkle of humans using it – because my humans use it a lot!
I also have no rhyme or reason to my madness when it comes to outside. I play with my creativity until it suits me.  I added a few of my DIY projects to this space and it works perfect for my family.
If you follow along in my stories on Instagram (here) you have seen how I added a table top to this old $15 thrift store table, spray painting the hand-me-down chairs, and added these wall vases for super cheap. You can see that No-Drill DIY here if you missed it!
I started with my table decor. I added a fall table runner underneath my wood tray, then some simple white pumpkins from my local produce stand (lots cheaper there!). I added a few decor pumpkins, some wood coasters, and some fall foliage to spice it up.
I turned around my normal pillows to show the plain fabric which added to the simplicity of the look I was going for. I just added a small scarecrow, a sign and pumpkin. This left plenty of space for my guests to sit when they visit, but still gave the benches some character.
I have a small corner where I usually keep a plant that I love. But with the winter coming, I needed to move it inside. So I replaced this space with some DIY fall foliage in a planter and added some small pumpkins to a lantern. Very simple and very inexpensive.
I made these darling No Drill Wall Vases so that I could interchange my foliage with the season. I used my 40% off coupons at Joann’s and found some pretty cute stuff. I also grab my signs from Craft Me Up Decor out of St. George, Utah – she is amazing!
This area didn’t take long to do and still is a great space for my family to sit and enjoy each others company. I watch for sales to get my items at the best price possible, there is no need to spend a lot of money to add fall decor to your home!
I hope you gained a few more ideas of simple ways you can add some fall flair to your porch. Please enjoy the rest of this Fall Home Tour!
