Raised in California and transplanted to Utah. Married my college sweetheart from Montana, and we are raising 4 nuggets together. I love all things DIY projects and doing them on a budget. I don’t mind messing up and am ok with the 90/10 rule - nothing is perfect over here and it’s fine by me! Encouraging all ‘wanna-be’ DIYers to just get out there and try it! You will be so glad you did.”
We are updating our home gym floor from carpet to luxury vinyl flooring. If you missed that fun “boys room turned home gym” renovation project last year you can check it out here. At the time we didn’t have a flooring budget so we kept the original carpet in place. But now we are ready to make the switch!
When deciding on luxury vinyl flooring, you want to consider the type, the colors, the cost and the installation process. If you are unsure about what vinyl flooring is, you can check out this article by BUILD.COM here. We chose vinyl flooring for lots of reasons:
NovaFloor has tons of color options that are simple to install and we are excited to partner with them during the process. Check out their website here to become familiar with their brand.
There are so many styles to choose from at NovaFloor. They have a Designer Series of plank and tile luxury vinyl flooring that is beautiful and full of options.
They also carry the Maybree Collection with rigid core floating luxury vinyl planks and marble-like tiles in gorgeous finishes. They have longer, wider, thicker planks and tiles, an attached foam underlayment for added comfort underfoot, sound-barrier protection, and a 20-mil wear layer for the ultimate performance.
In addition to these collections, they have many more to pick from. Navigate the menu to the Designer Series link to see all those options, or the Maybree Collection to see those options.
With so many options to pick from, it took me some time scrolling through the website to decide on a color. In the end, I chose the Washed Concrete Axel in the Maybree Collection because it looked so much like a gym floor to me and was best suited for a basement. Here is a sampling of the colors they have:
With so many beautiful colors you just can’t go wrong! Which one would you pick?
NovaFloor sells directly through retail vendors. They make it super easy to find one closest to you through their dealer locator here. Click on the link and add your zip code and you will be directed to options near your home.
I am so excited to get this luxury vinyl flooring from NovaFloor and get started on our summer project. Who else wants new flooring like I do?! Stay tuned for the installation process of our home gym vinyl floor!
