Raised in California and transplanted to Utah. Married my college sweetheart from Montana, and we are raising 4 nuggets together. I love all things DIY projects and doing them on a budget. I don’t mind messing up and am ok with the 90/10 rule - nothing is perfect over here and it’s fine by me! Encouraging all ‘wanna-be’ DIYers to just get out there and try it! You will be so glad you did.”
Last year I was crushing over all the Farmhouse Prints – so I started wondering how I could make my own with the resources I had (long vinyl cutter, no large printers). After a bit of thinking I created a way that worked in my budget and was super easy to do.

I have written a tutorial on Wall Art that is the exact same process for this poster framed print. Head over to this link for a step by step process of DIY Wall Art.
If you are using old wood like I did (I snagged the sticks that were stuck in old signs that go in yards during voting time) you will want to clean them. Check out the tutorial on Cleaning Old Wood here.
You will have this project done in no time!

Hi! Where did you get the lights on either end of your mantel? I love those and have been looking for something like that
Aren’t they so fun!? I looked forever and found them at TJ Max. I know that doesn’t help. But check them out – they have tons. I also looked at Wayfair, Amazon, Walmart, Overstock and DownEast. All these stores and great options for inexpensive! Good luck!
I’m thinking of using the “This is Us” as the theme for my daughters wedding shower. Could you tell me where you got the letters?
Yes Ellen! You will love the site – it’s Nikki

Hi, did your sconces come just like that from TJ Maxx with the little barn doors? I want them!
Hey Amanda! Thank you for stopping by! Are you talking about the shutter doors? I made those and have a blog post on how to do it – so easy! I ordered a garden hook from Amazon and recently found the lanterns at Kirkland’s! There is a link in my highlights on IG. Let me know if you need me to send it to you!
I love the mantel and fireplace. Did you have it made or did you purchase it? Please advise. Thank you, Rachel
I made it! I have a highlight in my stories on Instagram if you are interested!
