When springtime rolls around I start to get the itch for freshness, and new linens for my bedroom is always a must. It helps me get excited for sunshine and feels like a new start. I am excited to share this master bedroom refresh with you today.
Sheets
I love comfy sheets and always try to find soft ones that are 100% cotton and will fit my deep mattress. I ordered some from California Design Den and I loved them. They were a great price point and had very deep pockets, which was perfect. You can find them here.
I washed them and got them all fitted. I ordered the straight white set for a King bed. They are Pure Natural 100% Cotton and fade resistant. This helps us to stay cool while we sleep.
I also added a small spring bench to the foot of my bed from Kirkland’s. This is one of my favorite home decor stores and I loved the new spring line they launched. The bench is called the Blue Striped Bench with Rope-Wrapped Legs.
Bedding
Once the sheets arrived and were fitted, I realized I would like a lighter quilt for the spring as well. The creme one was beautiful but pretty heavy. I asked around and a girlfriend told me about the company Kasentex. She loved how lightweight and soft her set was when it arrived.
I love quilts, they are usually all cotton and super soft. I like a weighted feel and this was the perfect mix between lightweight and durable. I picked out the Kasentex Ultra-Soft Stone Washed Quilt Set with Decorative Floral Embroidery Design – in Slate Gray. It was a fun new color that I hadn’t tried and fit my neutral tones.
This quilt has become my new favorite and I love the soft, light weight feel. I just love how it adds to this spring refresh. Now I will have a hard time getting out of bed every morning!
