I have had this darling old stool that was given to me by my sweet Granny. It’s needed some TLC. When a friend asked me to refinish her piece as well I decided it was time to attack both. Look at these things – so much history and so much love needed up on them!
Do you have pieces that need some TLC? It’s not as hard as you think! Check out my 60 second video tutorial on Reupholstering Stools to get the quick version, then follow along and create your own masterpiece!
I am always on the hunt for any possible solution to refinish furniture without sanding – anybody with me?! I launched into Google to see what new ideas came to my mind, and I came across Country Chic Paint and fell in love. Lets face it – I was sold just on their name. But as I read their blog I was smitten by their drive for environmental safe & VOC free paints – with their lab results to prove it!
VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) are gases that are released into the air from ordinary products such as paint, cleaning products, furniture, flooring, and cosmetics. They can produce short term health effects, with additional long term affect research still taking place.
Plane and simple? I don’t want my headboard contaminated with anything funky. So, needless to say, I couldn’t wait for my shipment to arrive.
Here is my 60 second video tutorial on my headboard project using Country Chic Paint. Then stick around and check out all the details behind this amazing stuff!
I remember when chalk paint started to become a “thing” many years ago, and I just wasn’t buying it. Was there really a paint that you could use on top of almost anything without sanding or using a primer? I didn’t think it was possible. Finally I decided to try it on an old table that I was not wanting to refinish and it worked! I was sold! Since then I have used chalk paint for many DIY’s and it is awesome. And now they even have SPRAY CHALK PAINT!!! So today I am giving a tutorial on where to buy it and how to use it (so easy).
As usual, I am including first a 60 second video tutorial to show the main steps of the process. Then follow along for lots of resources and details for your latest DIY with Spray Chalk Paint!
